Exciting news! An abstract was presented at the SESPRS 69th Annual Scientific Meeting showing that the use of the SOMAVAC internal negative pressure wound therapy device was associated with greater patient satisfaction, reduced seroma formation, and fewer returns to the operating room compared with standard closed-suction bulb drains following breast surgery. These findings highlight the potential of SOMAVAC to improve the postoperative patient experience while reducing complications. The abstract is now in the peer-review process and will subsequently be submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
